The Citadel of Chaos - Terror of the Ganjees is now the 3rd entry in the Fighting Fantasy Audio Drama Series, following on from the events in the Forest of Doom - Lost in Darkwood.
It follows the ongoing adventures of Vale Moonwing, who is now a student of magic, studying under the grand wizard Yastromo, deep within Darkwood Forest.
Word has come in that the evil Balthus Dire, one of the demonic three, is requesting the company of female sorceresses to name one as his bride to be. Vale is one of the lucky few to receive an invite.
Word has also come in that he plans to raise an army of foul creatures called the Ganjees, harvesting their black magic to try and take over the world of Allansia.
So Vale must venture off on a kind of reconnaissance mission to see what’s really going on in the Black Tower of Craggen Rock - or as we know it, The Citadel of Chaos.

Of course, many of the strange beasts featured in the original gamebook are present here, the Ganjess origins are explained and boy are they scary to listen to. I mean these guys are really creepy. Dog-Ape and Ape-Dog show their hybrid faces and some of the more obscure encounters are set up and explained with a little more detail (even some Wheelies action too!)
Again another solid entry in the audio drama series and a great prequel story to the original gamebook. A must-have for any Fighting Fantasy fans out there!
